Minimum Work Experience:
Education/Certification and Licensure:
1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Histotechnology or related science or comparable experience.
2. Certified by one of the AMA approved National Commission of Health certifying Agencies such as: (ASCP) American Society of Clinical Pathologists, (NCS) National Certification Board.
3. Masters degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
B. Experience:
1. Five years management/leadership experience in clinical lab and pathology services, preferably in a comparable hospital.
2. Solid understanding of business principles, i.e., strategic and financial planning, budgeting, business planning, organization theory.
3. Proven leadership skills, i.e., planning, communications, motivation, mentoring, interpersonal skills.
4. Track record of managing multiple departments/functions, preferably in a comparable health care setting
Required skills:
A. Expertise in legal/regulatory/financial issues involved in area(s)of assignment.
B. Knowledge of regulatory agencies, laws and regulations that govern the health care industry.
C. Ability to lead, direct, and manage multiple departments.
D. Knowledge and ability in utilizing computer applications as related to the job.
E. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications with a broad range of people.
F. Ability to establish and maintain rapport and good working relationships with a broad range of people.
G. Ability to implement and coordinate programs and projects effectively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification and Licensure:
1. Current Hawaii licensure as a Registered Nurse.
2. Bachelor's degree in health care, business administration or related field.
3. Master's degree in health care, hospital administration, business administration or related field.
